ok so here are some pics of how it looks right now. i took a lot of it off last night. i got a lot of work to do on this thing.

this was a little after i started takin it apart

my rusty old header and exhaust pipe. Yeah i know its pretty bad

after i took the radiator and stuff offf

and i pic of my a-arms that have rust on them

Now this is my spark plug. I have not re-jetted my quad since i got the bore kit in and it runs perfectly fine. nothin wrong with the spark plug either. guess i must have gottern lucky. still gonna put a jet kit in. better safe than sorry.

Well that is the project i have to deal with now. its in pretty bad shape but that is the reason that i am doin all of this. I cant wait till i get it finished. I will keep everybody posted on how it is goin

Hope it turns out good! I'm rebuilding as well but so far all I have is my z taken all apart. I'm getting the frame powder coated tomorrow and ordering a stroker in a few day so that will be the first step of the build..
What displacement is your engine?
Good luck on your build.

ok so i finally got it broken down all the way. Now a question that i have is if it will hurt any thing to get it sandblasted. Obviously it wont hurt the actual frame. But what about the knuckle and the a arms. do you think that the sand could mess up the hole on the knuckle where the ball joint goes in??? Any help would be awesome. I am trying to get this done as fast as possible. I will post pics here in a little while.

Looks good so far, I don't know if I would paint the frame if you plan on keeping this quad for a while. Get it Powdercoated so the finish lasts a long long time. Also, I'm glad you're redoing it all, and its too late to do it now, but why didn't you pressure wash the whole quad once you had the plastics off? Makes everything a lot easier to work with.

Keep us updated!

to be honest man i really dont know why i didnt pressure was it. it wasnt too bad though. And the reason i am not gettin it pc'd is because of me not keepin it for real long. My next quad i will for sure get it done. But anyways i will post pics on sunday. my girlfriend went out of town and took my camera. go freakin figure. oh well.

well they are just the stock white ones for now that have stickers all over them. They have red clay stains all over them too. Im gonna try to bleach them real clean but i doubt it will work. New plastics are in the near future. Just puttin all of my money into makin the frame and everything underneath look like new.
