Default Snap, I'm finally starting my own build thread!

Over the summer I traded my built '97 Banshee even up for this '08 LTZ. I soon realized I had an engine noise. I tried the oversize timing chain adjuster no help, it was lower in the motor. At the end of September after a long hard day of riding it seized. So it began.
Before

So I striped it, bought a Powder coating system and started buying parts as money would allow. Since the rod was seized to the crank I got a Hot Rods +4 stroker crank and the 4-play big bore kit coming. Then came powder coating some parts.

So today I started the reassemble process. First I wrap some of the frame with my own version of frame protective film. It is actually three layers of 3M vinyl. First green, then the white perf and last it is laminated. It is awesome looking. It looks like a carbon fiber and really plays tricks on your eyes. We did this same thing to my brothers raptor a year ago and it still looks great.

Then I had to see what a few part bolted up looked like.

First lesson learned on the mods I'm making, If your switching over to YFZ calipers you need to use the shorter bolts from the Z to bolt it on.

Awesome, can't wait to see this thing in person someday. The green looks a lot better in some of the last pics you posted than it does in the pic with all the parts in a pile on the floor. Hoping it looks more like the later pics turned out,

I have white plastics now but by time I'm done it might end up with white carbon fiber plastics or your old green plastics.

I dunno if I'd use my old plastics. They are faded. That was slot of the main reason for my build. I decided to buy new plastics because of it. And I've been wanting black ones. So I figured if I was buying plastics, I only wanted to do it one. So I bought black. Well black on my frame as is just wasn't any kind of attention getter. So hence the green frame. And do on.

I have a set of white plastics, they are used but in bad shape. It's just not right to put beat up plastics on a brand new machine. I ride a lot and I know it's only going to look new for awhile but if money allows new white or white carbon fiber will be on it. I was just joking about your fenders. Here in Ohio mud is a very common sight and race cut fenders wouldn't work for me. Not that my +3 front a-arms keeps the wheels under them anyways.
