The nightmare became true. This morning between the times of 5:38 am and 7:05 PT my quad was stolen along w/ my 5x8 trailer. No joke. Wish it was. I don't know how they pulled the trailer unless they dragged it with a chain. The tongue had two separate locks attached to it as well as a 5/8" cable through the quad frame and the trailer frame and around a steel structure beam. One lock was cut but there was no evidence of the other two removed which means they had to have given up on dealing w/ all three locks and then eventually decided to drag it all off w/ a chain instead of hooking up the trailer properly. This all happened w/ in literally 15 ft. or less from my bedroom window and our front door, and in broad day light as well. Yes, it's daylight out here at 5:30 in the morning. The sun rises very early here in NV.

I had to leave work early this morning to file a full investigative report w/ the police. I am also in the works of designing fliers w/ some details of the bike as well as a current picture and a reward of $1000 cash in hand for the recovery of the ATV....paid for by insurance money. Yes, the quad is insured, but that doesn't pay back the years and years of labor, service, blood, sweat and struggles to build such a machine. It was like a baby to me. I was creeping up on the 5th year anniversary since the day I bought it....Sept 9th, 2003.

If anyone sees or hears of any parts that may have come from this machine, or the machine as a whole, please contact me through this site. Even the smallest details which may help in any recovery will be compensated for in the form of either cash in hand or a honest paypal transaction. Info leading to any recovery must be genuine to receive any type of reward.

The QOTM pics are not current but here is a few pics that were taken of the machine this past spring and that is what the machine looks like to this day. Thanks for looking and thanks to anyone who keeps an eye out for my quad and/or trailer.

My step father and dog were both in the house when this all happened. They were very quick and quiet about it and must have been staking out the place waiting for me to leave for work. Today would have been a good morning to forget something and have to turn around and go back to the house.

OMG Nick im so sorry this has to happen to a good person like yourself. WTF is wrong with people now adays. I will keep my eyes open on ebay and stuff.

You never even got to hear it run with those cams? Holy crap that sucks. I use 3/4 concrete anchors in the garage floor with lengths of hardend chain and the heaviest locks I could find. The nut is welded on to the anchor so they cant take em apart. Makes me want to do more to lock them up. I hope you get it back or at least find out who took it so you can throw them the beating they deserve.

yeah that would have been a good thing forget something turn around and see that chit youd still have it and thered be a couple broken bones involved accidently of course they must have fallen down a few times

ah WTF this is pissing me off. first riggs now you. another reason for me to get my quad locked up. its just so easy to steal something i mean if you have a decent set of bolt cutters you can cut any cable, the locks, and then just push it away if they don't have keys.

maybe time for one of those quad alarms on ebay?
oh and do you still want those powermadds now, i can see if i can return them if you want?

so you would part it out and sell stolen parts??? i think i would rather get a $1000 reward as a bonus for being an honest person, then make $4000 and be a criminal....

No no no. He's saying that he wouldn't take Nick's reward...if he found Nick's quad, he'd return it no questions asked. He would return it out of the kindness of his heart...as a friend, a fellow forum brother, a family member. NOT part it out and be a criminal.
