We did the sheet on the A/C trick and it did wonders, like those SAARS dusk masks for your compressor. Check your airfliow into the house often because the filters will gum up fast from the smoke and falling ash. If they aren't the washable type (most aren't), I'd get some spares online as most anywhere local will be sold out.

A lot of evacuated areas that were not touched by the fire have been able to go home. In all an estimated 347 structures (mostly homes) burned on Tuesday night. 2 deaths came from the fire as well, one of the homes that burned down had 2 70 year olds in the home; so, it is unknown if they knew the danger.
Also the Flying W Ranch burned down as well...the employees and ranch hands at the Flying W, broke down the fences where there cattle was held because they didn't have time to get them out. On Thursday, all (40 something) the cattle were found an accounted for. The smoke is not blowing into town anymore at this point so that is a good thing.
