cant speek to the yfz thumber but if you put the spring in the carb the pull is all most cut in half
go on ebay you should find it under yfz450

if your riding a stock Z really nothing, its when the FCR gets put on , then theres a problem

When you hook a FCR carb to the stock Z thumber the pull is very stiff, to the point that your thumb will get sore after a short ride.

I modded my Z thumber to give my thumb more leverage, but I dont have any pics. I wouldnt recomend it to most people though. It was not real easy to get it all right. Basically I shortened the arm that hooks to the cable in the thumber a bit, but you have to be careful because if you go too far you will bind the cable, and I had to change its shape a bit to allow farther motion.
