Thank You Very Much. I was dry fitting the 400EX intake tube today and it seemed not to fit properly. It looks a little big.

Old thread but THIS is what ive been looking for FOREVER!!

I own a yfz and was searching google with no ideas you guys used yfz carbs on these ltz's. I have a few ?'s regarding this mod and this seems like the place to be.

The cable adjust idle are you guys using this from your ltz carbs or buying this assembly from the yzf dirtbikes? Any idea how much those parts cost of if anyone has a parts carb on here with that piece im interested.

thanks.

How hard is it to split the carb like you done to drill the hole, and was the drill bit 3/16? Also you was saying the BSR spring wouldnt work would you direct me to a spring or would the YZF bike ones work?

the hole size is dictated by what the tap needs. i do recommend using the right size tap .

the spring may of just one that i had laying around or i may of gotten it from a hardware. sorry i really dont remember.

do be careful at splitting the carb if you damage the gasket its hard to get.... ya it can be done but its expensive.

belive it or not the hole can be drilled from the top down then just plug the extra hole

extra hole? ive got everything completed except the idle assembly i started drilling with 3/16 assuming thats the correct size for the m5x.5 tap as you used correct? i cant finish drilling because of the bit being too short. hope its not wrong
