I sent them back to the guy I got the from, the exhaust cam looked fine. I will let the member I bought them from know. I move fast, I already got another set of oshc's for $130 shipped, this time I got photo's from ALL angles.. they look good! (STEAL!) Thanks, Erik

Going to install my oshc set here soon after i get them back from getting degreed. my question is, will the tolerances NormalZ wrote on here work for the oshc also? if not does anyone have those handy to post?

disregard...im a re-tard. forgot about the cam card i got sent and it shows the specs on it. .15mm IN and .20mm Ex

Just adding a pic for reference in the thread. Since the original topic is about hot cams, heres a pic of them timed. The exhaust cam on the right has the middle of the 3 punch marks straight up and it is directly under the pin on the cam chain. The intake on left has the punch mark between the 14th and 15th pins over. Another difference is that the intake cam also has the middle mark up when timed right, where the stock cams have the 3 up and the middle mark is pointing to the right.

Some more good info I pulled from this thread and got it fixed before I put it back together. The cam was definitely going to be rubbing on the top chain guide. You can see here it was barely touching but enough that it would've made noise for sure.



I ground about 1/8" from that spot and should have plenty of clearance. The shadow made it hard to see but you get the idea.

Do hot cams make a big difference performance wise? I'm thinking they might be my first upgrade on my otherwise stock z
