yeh figures right! well I want to get these cams just bc the guy only wants 125 for both! but its for a friend, trying to save him money if i can, but i dont wanna look like the a-hole when i build his quad and it doesnt run right because the cam degreeing is off. Ive put in hotcams before, timed/shimmed these quads many times, but im not sure about the degreeing. anyone near tempe, AZ that might be able to help with that in a month or so by any chance?

ok so im gonna take my chances and buy the cams and give it a shot. any sure way to tell that the degreeing is off and not the improper shims or something? i know improper valve lash will sound like a valve tap right?

I will say this. I did not personally send them in. A local shop sent them in for me. If you have a shop that deals with them maybe you could ask them to send them in and see if they'll do it that way.

You should be able to look at the pictures in a couple threads to see what the orientation of the lobes and the timing marks look like when everything is right. If it is off more then a tooth or two it should be pretty obvious.

Just to let you all know, I just got a set of OSHC back from Hotcams they will re-degree them for you for free - they even replaced my gears. Great company - if it helps at all I talked to Luke. I Had to pay shipping both ways.
