I'm thinking about putting a 12.0:1 piston in my std bore ltz. My mods are in my sig. Along with that I'm considering getting a powebomb hedader to go with my fmf. Any worries or woes about a higher comp piston? I iknow I need to run 91 or better other than that idk. Thanks in advance.

I'd run premium, but not race gas. You do know that you can just change the base gasket to a single layer, and it will change your compression to 12.2-1.

More compression will be one of the few things that will make your engine run better everywhere. Like biggie said, I wouldn't buy a new piston if it's 12:1, when just going to the single layer base gasket with the stock piston (which you would do anyways with a new piston) will take you to 12.2:1. If you really want or need to change the piston, there are pistons out there that will be at 12.5:1 which is ok on premium pump gas.

the single layer is a drz gasket correct? I didn't know that I think id rather go with that as my top end only has like 10 hours on it.

The drz gasket is the single layer. You don't a piston to get there, unless you're really in need of a piston, use the stock, and drz gasket.
