Cool

For what you are wanting I say go with oshc.... There are a lot of members here, including myself, that have these and are very happy. Take a look at my sig, I am bbk with stock hot rods crank. Oshc gave me great mid range and top end pull that I can feel! I lost a little bit of bottom, but when I repacked my pipe, I got my bottom back. For what you are wanting(same thing I wanted) get oshc, and aftermarket rev box and you will have more top end power pull then nshc. Once you get your hands on oshc or webs that are close to these, sell your nshc to get some of your money backWhen I go stroker in the future, then I will go with big webs cams.

536/536 are very close to hot cams, it's the best alternative to finding a needle in a haystack.

Yep, that's as close as you're going to get now days unless you can find some oshc's. The 536 grind web is very close to the same thing as the oshc cam. A pair of those would be great for low to mid (with a 434-440-450) but personally, I'd go with the 536/540, as it's more balanced out, and really useable in any situation. (speaking from experience with my 440 from a few years ago) Low end isn't quite what it would be with oshc's, but it's still stronger than stock. Mid is about the same as oshc's, but where the oshc's fade away as they go beyond around 6500-7k rpm, the 536/540 keeps pulling hard to just before the limiter.

I also had tried the 288/540, and they gave up too much low to mid, and only really gained top end over the oshc's. They were slower on the track than either of the other two grinds I had tried. Going bigger than that right now will have similar results I believe.

If I were you, I'd base it on what you want to do right now. The cams we've been discussing will affect your power range in this order from low end to high end. OSHC's or 536/536 - 536/540 - 540/540 - 540/539

They will all work in either a big bore or a bbs until you round up something bigger for the bbs, and you can always sell the one's you're not using.

I'm sure if you get a set of any of the cams cfm just mentioned, that someone on here would scap them up if you ever decided to go bigger.

Well, I ordered the 536/536. I have KW springs and valves that will go in with it Should I replace the chain too? I'm sure I'll need some help on this. I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks all!

Yup ^^^, those sound perfect for where you wanna be with your ride app. When you finally do go for the stroker crank, I'd suggest nothing smaller than the 540/540s... especially if you want to retain stronger bottom, or the 540/539s for good bottom and a nice strong pull all the way through the top. Unless you're draggin', I cant see a woods rider ever wanting/needing to any bigger than that....

If anyone knows the different Web grinds from lots of experience, it's CFM-Z440 and KFXGuy!

Like I said in the earlier post, if you ever want feedback on the 540/540s, RCFAN has those in right now with a build similar to ours....

I was going to mention to you (even though you already bought the Web Cams), I saw a set of what looked to be a good set of OSHCs for bid on ebay yesterday. Might help someone else out also...
