Default hot cams or fcr39

I have a 03 z400 with a full pro circuit ti4 exhaust jetted with a fmf power up jetkit and a k&n air filter. should i get hotcams or a fcr39? what would give me more peformance gains? and should i get a jet kits for the fcr?

What all do you have done to your quad. I would say FCR without knowing what else you have done.

should i try to get a fcr from a older yfz450 that has no tps. will i need to get a jet kit or just get a main jet. will the stock needle be fine for me? and this is all i have to do? FCR 39 Info

Mine came with the TPS, i literally took wire cutters and just snipped it off, so no need to worry if it has it or not.

I would go with the FCR. You will feel some good gains from it when tuned properly. Also, later as most put more aftermarket parts on, the hotcams usually arent big enough for them, and they end up going bigger anyways.

Find any type of FCR and youll be happy. Some things to search are....

Oring mod
Accelerator pump timing
Leak jet plugging
Z400 thumb throttle mod or you can get a new motion pro cable or yfz/honda thumber
Drz-e H2C boot
400ex air boot
Some come with an adjustable needle, but you could always get a NCVQ needle
Lastly, you you will need main/pilot jets which can be had off ebay for cheap.
