i tried to stuff in my stock ltr shock into my wifes kfx 400 but the diameter of the spring is too big for the stock ltz swing arm,,, i dont know what swing arm you have but i hope this info helps

It could be a wheel bearing or drive shaft, on one of my old cars it used to clunk quite loudly when I turned the wheels, it sounded like someone knocking on the bodywork..
