Default rear sprocket size

with a stock chain and front gear can i fit a 42t rear sprocket?

probably not. would be close, but i doubt it. Thats an odd combination....

if you moddify the swingarm ,meaning to cut the bolt slots to the front maybe 1/2'' ,it would be more likely to fit the chain

why not just do a 13t front......it'd be pretty close to the same thing.

Thanks, that a nice link.
I just checked my brother Raptor real quick, he runs 15 - 38 - 22 up to 9,000.
Now that's some speed!

I don't think that chart works for every atv. Would depend what gearing is in the transmission. 9000 rpm in 5th gear on a raptor probably doesn't equal the same front sprocket drive speed as the z. If the gearing is the same, then I guess disregard.
