Default Brake disc guard

All,

Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket disk guards available for our Z? I'm looking to get rid of the skid plate. I've come across a good sprocket guard, but can't find a disk guard. Thx.

So, is the only option to use a full swingarm guard? With all the fab guys on this forum, I thought for sure someone would have made one or know of some small shop that does.

I've got the Moto-Activ guard on my watch list, but don't want to get it if I can't find a rotor guard. I wonder if the guard from the DRZ 400 might fit? Or from any of the motorcycles for that matter. Anyone try that?

I just put new sprockets and chain on. I want to get a few rides on this rear sprocket to see if it'll wear ok. See the holes on the outer edge? If this lasts awhile i'm going to try and make my own guard and bolt it to the outer edge. Any feedback? eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

That is actually the sprocket guard (I've got that on my watch list). I'm looking for a brake disk guard.

The disk guard has to be static so it doesn't hit the caliper. Most of the guards you see for disks look like a shark fin and attaches to the brake stay. It takes more machining/engineering for a custom fit which is why there are not many out there. Especially for our bikes.

No man. Sure don't. And I'm not sure how different your Houser swinger is from my LSR unit in order for me to make another. I'd really like to know how different the Blingstar rotor guards for the 450r and 400ex are from the piece I made. If there's extra material on those it would be a lot easier, quicker and nowhere near as messy to modify one of those instead of making another from scratch.
The ground clearance with this setup is AWESOME!!! I fly thru the rutted areas that used to drag me down. I haven't been hung up with this combo yet.
