ok i get it now haha took me a minute. next question is, if you are trying to widen the front end why would you make narrow it with the rims??

The only reason I suggested for you to narrow your quad with the rims was if you were to ride on tight trails, assuming you went with a +2 a-arm setup as suggested.

The reason more people run a 4+1 offset wheel is because it steers and handles better compared to a 3+2 rim. Hardcore MX riders will run a +3 a-arm with a 4+1 rim. It puts them at the 50" max width allowed along with the benefits I just mentioned. And hardcore XC riders, such as myself, run a +1" a-arm with the 4+1 rim. This allows me to be at stock width to be able to dart between tight trees (or other areas) at speed and again give me the added benefit of improved steering and handling.

Tie rods are usually included when you buy a new a-arm kit. And if you ever bend one, you can usually buy them seperately from the manufacturer of the a-arm.
