Ok so not to beat a dead horse here, seems like Rotella has worked good for many. My question is, I just left Wally World with a jug of 5w-40. There were 2 types of synthetic 5w-40, the jugs looked identical, couldn't find any difference what so ever...except one was $21 and the other $26. Anyone have a clue why the one is $5 more and what the difference might be? Which do you use atv4life?

The one I use is $21... Check to make sure the $26 container doesn't say anything on the front label about "Energy saving" or something to that effect. The last thing you want is friction modifiers flowing through the plates of the wet clutch...

I got the $21 container. I could see absolutely no difference between them other than price. I stared at them comparing labels for like 5 minutes lol. So of course I went with the cheaper one.

So the oil filter you took out was bigger than the replacement that you got for it? Was that filter in there from the last owner? If you want I have a spare filter on my bench I can measure it for ya.

Gotcha, its possible the yami might run the same size filter.

Here, I measured my filter real quick. 1 3/4 diameter, 1 3/4 length, 1/2 inch inner diameter of the small hole on the inside. These aren't exact measurements so if you need me to get out the calipers I can.

I always run Rotella 15/40 for breaking in new rings or cams and use Wix filters. The Wix for our bikes come with both o-rings also. Once broke in I run Mobil 1.

Well, not sure what filter you guys got.. But I do know that the Raptor 250, YZ250F/450F and YFZ450 all used the same oil filters, and they all work with the Z.

The only reason I know that is because my Raptor 250 I used to have and my Z which I no longer have both used a K&N139 oil filter. That same oil filter is also used in the 250/450F Yammi motors.

What do you guys think about running bradpenn 10w40? It's partial synthetic with zinc!
I run it in my drag car and love it, just wondering if its good for quads!?
