hmmm ok thats interesting..i guess its not a critical change compared to an exhaust upgrade or intake..

I think with more aggresive cams it could be beneficial......not sure when just adding NSHC's like I did.

So does every z come with the same shims? i am about to have my head all done. do i put every thing together with out shims and measure then figure out what shims i need? or do i put the shims in that came with the bike stock? what size shims came with the z? so you know i have the drze kit new with new ferarra valves all about to be delivered. is there a length difference between stock and ferarras?

Put it back together with the shims that came out of it and see where you're at then adjust from there.
I think there is a fairly std size from the factory but not sure what it is/was.

The stock shims are around 280-290 on the intake and 315 on the exhaust from what I've seen. Can't speak for ferreas but my kibblewhites were fairly close. I didn't have to change intake shims at all and just had to drop the exhaust shims by a few sizes.

Well I ordered the whole shim kit and thinking of pulling the valves out tonight even tho I was gonna wait till my shipment came in but I'm looking forward to seeing how cupped they are
