Default Piston/gasket compression question

Alright guys. I have a JE 12.0:1 Piston I am throwing in. I am also going to be using a single layer base gasket. My thought would be that the compression would go even higher, but on JE's website the same part number under DRZ-400 says 12.0:1 compression as well. This seems confusing to me I don't know which one is correct or if JE is assuming everyone switches to a single layer base gasket. Any Ideas?

From what I understand (at least with wiseco) the advertised compression is with a single layer gasket... At least I read that a few times. Dont quote me on that

99% of the aftermarket pistons for the LTZ are rated for the single layer base gasket from the DRZ. So the advertised compressionis right. It would be right at 12:1
