Default Brake adjustment help

I installed my new ASV brake and clutch lever and removed the blob today, i noticed my brake light stays lit up when the key is on. I re wired and double checked everything seemed good. It turns out the little push pin on the actual brake blob that lights up when released isny being pushed back in all the way. I adjusted the lever and it lines up and is tight but doesnt push the pin all the way. Is there a way to adjust the the lever return to have more tension against the pin so after i pull it returns with enough pressure to push it in? I need help

I took a piece of clear tubing and put it over the tab on the brake lever. Works like a charm, sorry I didn't see this earlier.
