Maybe i'm strange, but I never use the kill switch on the blob anyways, always just use the key. I have the stock lights though, and really with them, for me, I almost always just use low beams. When on high beam they project farther but I seem to loose some light up close. Has anybody done the blob removal and integrated a high/low switch for their lights?

I'm going to be doing this, maybe tonight. I've already done the blob removal but just have my headlights wires taped off at the moment. Not a big deal, you will just need a dpdt switch and somewhere to mount it. I'm going to put mine on the "custom" dash I bought.

Cool, post up some pics if you can! One more question, will the clutch perch with hotstart fit and work with the blob still all there?

Will put some pics up when I get it finished. Waiting for the dash to get here.

As for the hot start lever and blob, things might get a little crowded but if you want to move the perch way in on the bars I'm sure you could. Probably no room for hand guards though, mine barely fit with the fly start button.

If you're looking to use the hotstart for reverse get a KFX450 thumber and use that. It will bolt right up.
KFX450 Reverse Lever
I never use the on/off (when I had it)on the blob either.......sure messes me up when I get on someones quad that does though.

+1...

How many times did you let someone ride your z, and get back on and not be able to start it... only to find out the jackoff turned the on/off switch off!

Wow i'm glad i'm not alone!! Gets me every time! "Why won't this thing start?" LOL And yeah I think that kfx lever is prob the way to go, not only is it designed as a reverse lever, I think i will like it on the right side better anyhow.

I highly recommend the KFX 450 thumb throttle reverse lever then.

Check Ebay and look for one that still has the cable keeper on it. The two that I bought still had the cable end going into the thumber and they just hacked the cable and left the lat couple inches. You only need to replace the bottom mount that the revers lever is on. It will bolt right up to you stock thumber.

I am wiring my start button up right now, but I read that I need the Black wire with the White tracer. Well the wire is there it's just that it goes back into the harness on a different cluster of wires. What do I do? It doesn't come out into one lead.

Never mind, figured it out. Had to connect the orange wires to the yellow and black wire.

Test it with a jumper to see if it does what you need it to.

I just wrapped the wires around each other and press the switch and the beast fired. Took it on a little ride and tested it out a few more times, it works every time

Oh and yes I cleaned it up with electrical tape and made it look stock, I didn't have a soldering iron so hopefully the tape holds up, put a few layers over it.
