I was thinkin about how the front fenders have slots open on either side of the headlight and I got to lookin.... there's a nice place to mount to the frame just inside both openings of the fenders. I think it would look cool to add auxiliary lights (nothin big, maybe 3 to 4 inch lights max) just an idea.... I'm gonna comb through advance auto and see if they got anything decent.

I like how all of us cover up the main light then end up putting lights somewhere else lol. Also I think you should get a nice set of aftermarket handle bars.

Blue accent lights ooooo spiffy. Lol I was thinkin that too.... id live with the bars if I could find a foam/velcro type dash cover to hide the stem bolts. But I spose protapers would probably come with one. I'm more worried about the 1/2" play I have at the moment on my steering stem. It's not solid, and I am sure its coming from the very bottom bolt on the stem. Bars are on my list of cosmetics which is further down the road than preventative engine upgrades.

I'm putting a parts list together to get organized for stage 2 of my rebuild- engine mods. The intake is complete, and my suspension is done for now and I think I got it so it is not lean. Hope between now and then my air box don't melt. Anyway here we go:

Jet kit
CW 434 BBK
NSHC in/ex cams possibly webcams? 539/540
DRZe kit
Ferrea Valves
Kibblewhite valve springs
Dyna FS programmable

I need prices for each to estimate a total project cost. I'm expecting a 2500$ limit. If I'm under I can use the extra funds for stage 3 of my rebuild- cosmetics. I may need to pay for labor unless someone wants to help walk me through the steps. I have never opened a carb or a case in my life but id give it a go with the right direction. I do need a clymer.

Kibblewhite springs- 135$
DRZe kit- 180$
Cam chain tensioner-30$

So that's just eBay prices on new mods.1,487$ w NSHC or 1,816 w webcams.
Anything else I need for the job? Isn't there a special tool for the valvesprings? Are the eBay prices reasonable or should I look elsewhere... Should I go with the expensive cams? Whats an estimate on improved horsepower with these mods?

You dont really need a DRZe kit since you are already getting kw springs and if you get a big bore it will come with the gaskets you need. All you need from the DRZe kit is the cam chain, clutch cover gasket, and valve guide seals; which you can get for alot cheaper than $180.

So i decided since my z runs perfect to put money into other things. I did manage to pick up new protaper metal mulisha fat bars, pro armor bullhorn bumper, blingstar rear grab, new pmadds, and grips. Ill post pics as soon as i get everything installed
