vice grips clamped on as hard as you can get

if that doesn't work, weld another bolt ontop of it so you can get it out. I had to do this on my skidplate, and a screw INSIDE of my carb

or if your care full use a left handed drill bit sometimes they will catch and spin the screw right out if not then drill it out and tape it.

i used a die grinder tool with one of them 1'' cut off disks ,i cut a slot that a straight blade screw driver could jet a hold of it the really tough ones I'll use an impact driver . replace the screws with allen head screws .

I have used all of the above methods and grinding a straight slot groove in the head is the most effective I've found. I restored a Suzuki Samurai thats gonna be a rock crawler, and if anyone knows Samurai's, they have phillips heads that hold the doors on...I had to grind a groove in everyone of em to get the doors off.

Welding another bolt on top works great also.

I worked on my buddies yfz carb that he had stripped all the screws out. I mean EVERY screw... I had to use vice grips the outside bolts and I had to grind a groove in the bolt that holds the needle in. It was a mess but I got them all out.

using the '' right Phillips tip '' in a slow turning cordless drill and down pressure helps alot ,i know the screws look like there #1 's but a #2 Phillips works way better.

Just drill them out and replace them with allen head stainless screws. I think 90% of this site has done this.

same one i had to weld my bolt too. stock screw the guy i bought it from stripped out. all better now with all stainless bolts everywhere in the carb

and about the screwdrivers, a cordless impact wrench is even better. works great on the quad i just use this then fiinish with a torque or socket wrench to make sure everythings tight. works good for long wood screws and stuff too, just makes it really easy. instead of pushing all your weight on the screw you can just use one hand and barely push, it does the work itself

I used a hacksaw to cut a groove in the head and removed with a flat head. Where could I find some of these screws to replace?
