Default Mud flaps....I know I know

I have been riding a lot of wet trails lately, and I am sick of getting soaked and muddy when the rest of my riding crew is clean and dry. I know wearing a rain suit is ideal, but in MN it has been above 80 all summer, and rain suits aren't the coolest outfit. We have been heading to WI some weekends (this is by far the best trail riding in the midwest, atv's allowed on roads, and hundreds of miles of trails with bar/restaurants/gas stations on the trails) and the trails are WET. I am trying to devise a "splash guard" so to say that would attach to my nerfs and the fender to keep some of the water off. I don't mind getting dirty, but being soaked for 4-6 hours on trail rides is not fun. When we travel to wheel we try to do at least 50 miles a day, last trip we did 100 one day. What do you guys do on long rides?

you could try going to lowes and buying some shower liner, cutting that up and attaching it... its like a thick rubbery sheet... would probably work..

Maybe get some plastic similar to your fenders and attach it to your fenders, kinda like extending fenders. It would look like WooterWooterWooterWooter but it would work!

Well I kind of have an idea, planning on drawing it up on Pro/E when i get all my other work done. Plan is: Drill a few holes in the plastic to attach rubber sheet, and zip ty on a few connection onto nerf bars. I would be using a sheet approximately 1.5ftx2ft just for blocking water. I would only use it for long rides, wish there was offroad plastic better than factory for people that aren't looking for the "race" look

I had this idea, but I am still trying to make it look at least half decent, and I don't want to tear up my fenders very much. Best idea I have come up with is is using flexible rubber sheet and zip tying it. You have any better ideas?

Or you could fab up some actual fenders like I made for my V-Force. I have race cuts on it so I came up with these. I made my own mounting brackets for some DS650 fenders. Works better than full fenders. I have one set left if anyone might want them.

Run to a junk yard and pull some flaps off a truck. Im sure you could rig something up with that and a few rivets. Probably not ideal or the cleanest, but its a thought. I cant remember the last time I came back from a ride without being covered in dirt and mud.
