Pictures in signature plus phone app but someone covered that

i paid 40 bucks for lifetime membership and made a graphic for my signature about 40px x 120px roughly and was told "no pictures" ! , if people can post 10" of mods done to quad , let us post graphics to sigs! i threw money away. what's the perks for lifetime membership?

You bring up a good point. If the photo upload could be limited to a certain number of pixels than maybe they will allow it. Other forums that have no limit are annoying as hell when there is a giant picture every other post. However, they also have to deal with if the picture is acceptable or not, but I can't imagine it'd get too out of hand.
Just an idea...

But for people with slower connections it could slow down pages loading by a small bit, might just be for the general well-being of the site, as if it was to start getting slow to load, people may tend to visit it less frequently.

I agree with everybody, both ways. You would think some sort of picture would be available, but then the slower connection speeds would suffer. zI hate reading a post that has some huge pic attached to it, then it takes forever toi read thru the posts quick.. It takes long enough to load pages on my phone the way it is.

Another good point. This would pretty much all have to go hand-in-hand for upgrades. I know people are looking for a chat box, phone app, and pics in sigs (forgetting anything?).
Unless you did all three at the same time people would suffer. I think it is pretty safe to say that dial up basically doesn't exist anymore, especially if people are browsing a forum. However, since SC doesn't have a phone app, if they decided to allow pics in sigs and put in a chatbox it would considerably slow down browsing on a phone if you're just using safari or whatever the androids use. But if there was also a phone app, then in the app the pics in sig and the chatbox would be disabled and it would be perfectly fine for fast browsing.

Also there are not many people with paid subscriptions. If every member were to have a pic on their sig then it would affect people with slow connections but since its just a few that paid for the subscription, I don't think there will be too many pictures in every thread to affect the slow connection people.

also chinaduca graphic sigs would promote more membership sales. what does the 40 bucks go to ? upgrade the site? hmm... if loading pages may be slow there should be option to disable graphic signatures, i'm done bitching lol . and yes if we had phone app make the .apk in android os to disable graphics also like (text only) . i can design the forum app i write .apk files and can add to android market using my android sdk program and have virtual phones to test , im about to script and i'll keep all of you posted. if anyone else script .apk or iphone apps we maybe able to send the packages and refine as needed , thanks

yea no perks what so ever , allowing more pic uploads, more inbox space clogs the server and can slow and does already for dial up , 1x cell data speeds, some dsl , internet connection that have filled data cap which lowers data rate

, my friend uses a free dial up connection and have used his computer to login to suzuki central . most phones are 3g data for the most part averaging 700k apposed to dial up 48.8k on a good day . just give option to disable graphic signatures and or gif files on this forum / site.

There are more people on dial up or cell tethering then you think. As far as the Chat box, I have requested it more times than I want to count.

The main downside to the pictures is the page loading and having to police what is in the pictures. The chat box is the only real site upgrade that I think would really help us out. The problem is that the owner just is not interested in adding it.
