Shoot me a price on it. Just curious. Mine works pretty good. I have the Craftsman gun.

i was thinking it would add an extra layer of protection. most of my stuff so far has been matte finish, so i havent cleared any thinking it would alter the matte finish.

Well I guess I spoke too soon. I priced done other guns and read reviews on a few different ones including mine, and seems like I can't get any better for an affordable price. Seems like the harbor freight fared better than the Eastwood guns because they leak and the hf one doesn't. They have a company that offers a hf gun (exact same design) and it has an adjustable power supply. So I guess I'll just keep mine. I may buy another one to make color swapping easier.

I've been thinking about something all day. Have you guys noticed the harbor freight gun powder cups are specific to that gun. I bought 4 containers if their powder so i coukd use the cups and not have to keep cleaning cups. Surprisingly they don't fit. They look exactly the same but the threads are different. So I think I'm gonna toss the original cups and then remove the plastic cap on the gun and epoxy a cap off one if the other cups do I can readily buy them. I emailed harbor freight and they can sell me some cups for $2.01 each but with a 8+ week wait because they are on back order. It's a pita to have to keep cleaning cups. I wrapped tape around one of the other cups, but I'm afraid it's gonna come off and make a mess. I'll post my mod after I do it.

you should look into lower gloss clears. you can get a clear that has a matte finish so you dont ruin the matte look while still adding that extra layer of protection. just a thought.

I'm trying a mix of two chrome powders right now. One is a single stage and the other is extreme chrome. Find out in a few minutes how it turns out. I'm hoping that (lol) by mixing half and half I can get a shinier and tougher finish. Cross my fingers. Lol

I have just enough powder to do my other side cover this evening and put them on the engine. I'm tired of looking at a crappy looking engine in this sweet looking frame! Lol. Then I gotta do the head, cylinder and head cover. What color would look good on those? I was thinking chrome also, if I ever wanted to sell the head or cylinder, I can easily do it with them being chrome...but not green. Plus it may be too much green.

gloss black is the hardest color to pull off, so if you are doing well with that you should be fine with the others!
