Im in the same boat as you, i removed the stock headlight to put my hood on and i have searched around for awhile to find some good and decently priced aftermarket lights. I decided on going with trail tech since they have good reviews and sweet lights. As much as i would like to get the two bar mounted HIDs they offer $300+ for lights is not in my budget. I ultimately decided on the trail tech frame mounted MR-16 35w halogen lights. For only $130 they seem like great lights for the price.

See....form over function strikes again..I would settle for a set of trailtechs or even after market driving lights mounted to a "spize" style dash. And the best riding at the dunes is in the middle of the night!

yea...those trail tech look nice, but I can't see spending $130 for a set.

I would just get some of these
NV-512W Pilot Lighting- 2 Inch Round Driving Light, White Beam - Blue Lens# or Hella 005750411 500 Series 12V 55W Halogen Driving Lamp# or Pilot Performance Lighting PL-195C Pilot 4 Round Driving Light Kit Clear# make a little tab to hang of your H-clamp bolts or get creative under the front. When your done just unplug them and remove,.

I looked at the brake line clamps on ebay. I like that idea. Under $50 and have some decent looking lights. I rarely ride after dark other than at the dunes. Sounds like a plan to me.
Is the frame 3/4" tubing?

Trail tech says their mounts are 7/8 for the frame. I will be ordering mine in the next week or so and will let you all know how they are. I also have the ones from walmart on my brothers quad so i can do a comparison if wanted.

The walmart lights are on my brothers quad(a 90cc yamaha badger lol) he just wanted some lights on his fourwheeler to be like big brother lol. They seem pretty good and solid, but only time will tell. On another note i have the bigger walmart lights on my 87' warrior and they have held up great through the mud water and the power washer. For only $20 they are well worth it but i wanted something a little nicer on my fourwheeler thats why im going with the trail tech ones.
