Are you guys wearing them? which one do you like? If you have had more than one what are your pros and cons?

I'm also curious. With fox chest protector on, my helmet rubs a little on it wen I turn my head, will neck brace rub even worse on helmet? After flying off my bike alot of times seems like I'm always landing on my head! Really want one but don't know if it would feel uncomfortable, sorry to jump in on ur post asking another question rcfan...

We all should, but i do not. My brother wears the leatt club pro $400, but he did not start wearing it until after he crashed and had three pins and a plate put in his neck. Recovered from a broken neck and was riding within a year. If your going to, buy the best. So yes we should wear them.

no prob pulido221 I have worn a leatt club and it does make it rub quite a bit. but the more you ride with it you get use to it. I want one myself but have a hard time coming up with 400 bucks for the one i want found a smokin sale on the a star hoping someone will chime in that has had both.

I think its one of those things nobody would wear until you see somebody else get hurt or you get hurt yourself.

I wear a Leatt Adventure brace. At $285 new, the only difference between it and the higher dollar Leatt models is the materials.

I wear a Thor Quadrant cp with it and I feel its a good fit. Its a little tricky to get the cp on and off with the Leatt in place but it fits good enough that I dont have to use the strap to hold the Leatt in place. I also have a Fox cp that I got from a friend (unsure of which model). The opening in the Fox cp is too small for the Leatt. Ive heard of others that wore a Fox cp (different model I'm guessing) and Leatt with no problems.

The Leatt feels odd at first, but after a few minutes of riding I dont even notice it being on, except when trying to look up. Only going up the steepest of hills will I even notice it while riding.

I'm unaware of any major cons of the Leatt, but I've read that the EVS neck braces will spread the forces of any impacts across the brace and could break your collar bone. It beats breaking your neck though. The Leatt braces have no surface area lying across the collar bone area.

There is more than a diff in the materials between the cheap ones and the more expensive one woodsrider. THe club and the most expensive one is also adjustable.

I wear the Leatte GPX club and i ate it real good three weeks ago on my break, my leg and ribs are finally starting to not hurt. But i also hit my head real good, said i got a concussion. Well my neck felt just fine, it was sore for about a day but didnt hurt.

Some people say they will break your collor bones, create more pain in your back, it just depends on what ones you go with, they all put the force in different areas

IMO the best one to get is the leatte

EDIT

Woods rider, the leatte will break your collar bone, the EVS will spread the force out along your shoulders and your back

Leatte was the first one out, the best and had all the patents, othe brands tried to make theres but do to patents had to change and compromise their designs so they arent as good

My Adventure Leatt came with extra pieces to give it some adjustability but you definately CAN NOT fine tune it like the other models. The Adventure Leatt feels good to me with the little bit of adjustment that I could do but I'm sure I'd be impressed with the extra comfort I could get out of the nicer models.

The collar bone issue I addressed was something I had read. I may have read it wrong though or maybe they were misinformed as well. My Leatt doesnt lay across my collarbone so I dont see how. Either way they are all designed to spread the forces of impact and most anything would be better than a broken neck.

I hate to hear that you had a bad accident, but its good hear that you are recovering just fine.

Yeah the fine tuning is nice... It may not lay directly on my collar bone, but if you think about it, it pushes inbetween them on your chest so i guess thats how it would break them...

It wasent the worst crash i have had but i sure hurt like hell lol, o well i guess its just a part of the sport, funny thing is that was the last jump i was hittin then pullin off the track to head home for the day... wtf lol, and i have hit that jump 100's of times prior to that... so i guess im just say dont ever get too comfortable

Thats what I constantly tell my girlfriends daughter. The second you get too comfortable is when bad things happen.

I had a broken neck from a car racing accident (had a head and neck restraint, without it I would of been killed) so I am getting into just trail riding now. I need something with lots of room for my kneck since my head is now more foward due to the fusion. I tried on a leatte an its ok, need the longer buckes on it. the Evs was too small. anyone try the Alpinestars sb neck brace yet?
