Default Quick Straps.......who's got them?

So I just say a helmet in the for sale section with Quick Straps on the googles.
Yogi will like this.......I saw my first quick straps at Pismo. Some guy I was draggin with (on a very, very fast DVX) had them. I asked him about them and when I got home I found me some and have used them ever since. When I am leading in the dunes I will strap them on backwards and wear my sunglasses......
For those that don't know what I'm talking about here's a link,

You just reminded me that I have one of those chin straps things for my helmet! It's been in my parts box for a couple of months! Anyways, how do they stay on the helmet? Suction cup or something?

chin strap things?

They stick on. The googles snap on to one side and then there is velcro on the other. That is the down fall and mine failed on our last trip. The "stick" can fail after a while but you can get a replacement kit with just the mounts.

Ya, when I ride and we stop for a breather I leave my gloves on but take off my helmet. And when I put it back on, I can't put the strap thru the loopy loop with my gloves on. With the snap chin strap thing, you just snap it together kinda like how the snap straps are on chest protectors.

That looks like it would be nice for MX racing when it gets too muddy or dusty.

ah, that would be nice. Kind of like velcro shoe laces . I would be afraid that it may not hold in a bad crash.............
Where'd you get it?

Actually I don't know that they would be. You'd want to use tear-offs and I could see pulling the goggles off with a tear off.
Full strap for racing imo.

I was just looking for some replacement parts and found this. I guess Scott USA stole the idea, treaked it just a little and made their own. I once bought a pair of Scott goggles that came with quick straps intalled. I guess their partnership is probably over.

Rockymountain, I needed just a couple more dollars to get free shipping so I got them. You keep your straps from your helmet and just loopy loop the connectors onto the straps and that's it. Ya, a big hit it might break, I don't know, hopefully it doesn't happen

Spize what I meant was like when you run out of tear offs you could just pop em off and let them hang there instead of having to throw them or put them around your wrist.

they look like a nice system. I'm thinking I may want to get some, especially since they don't cost much.

No idea about the goggles but Pulido I hated the quick chin strap I had for helmets. It was really uncomfortable to have under your chin and it was actually still a pain to snap. This is the one I had
