Default CST ambush fronts..

Well I broke down and ordered a set of front tires finally. I figured slicks wouldn't make it much longer. I am budget minded right now so price was important. I have the rears in ambush and love them, so i thought I would try out the fronts. I was a little turned off from the pics on the web, they looked slick, but after reading they seemed to get great reviews. Got them on and they look great, nice and meaty. I rode a little but hope to put some more ride on them and I'll report back..

I almost went with ambush tires. but they didn't offer the size i wanted. I like the look and price of them.

I have looked at the Ambush's many times. Love how the rears look. Might try them one of these days.

The side tread is very unusual... what PSI do they recommend to run in those? If I ever get another set of tires I'm stuck between another set of Kenda Klaws or some GBC X-Rex's. And from your pictures those do look pretty meaty!

First off they only come in a 4ply. When they first came out they offered a 4 and 6 ply I beleive. They recommend 5psi on the sidwall which is what I have them at currently. The rear tires are hands down meaty. Three of us tried the same hill yesterday, probably a 40% grade 35', slimey, with leaves. I made it on the first time with little to no problem. The others struggled, one was running STI tech 4's and couldn't hardly make it. These things will pull the front tires in slime and gravel. I love them and will probably replace with them again.

I have ambush's on the rear of mine and love them! Even ran them at the dunes and they did pretty good I thought (granted i've only ran on sand once and not with paddles) Haven't had any issues with mine. Put alot of trail and woods miles on them, lots of gravel roads too. I will def go with them again when they wear out.

Fronts look like they'll be a great tire for stopping but might push a bit in the corners when pushed hard. I like the rears they're awesome for the money. Let us know how the fronts work out for you. The price can't be beat and I'm sure they're better then the stock dunflops lol.

CST is the same company that makes the razors, i'd be curious to know how the compounds differ. And yeah, IF they wear out, lol, but likely will someday. Held up real good so far.

They look pretty cool. What size did you go with? And they don't offer 6 ply?
