I've noticed when i start my quad latley theres a tiny bit of white smoke that comes out of the exhaust. It comes out for a few seconds then goes away. (Im sure its not a good thing) The whole top end was rebuilt about 2months ago valves, springs, seals, piston and rings. What does this mean? and how can i stop it before it gets really bad? It runs great but does back fire when i let off the throttle. Today i'm going to clean and adjust my jets and see if that helps like i was told. Should that also clear up the smoke? Thanx for any info guys.

Thats exactly what it seems like! But mines the only one that seems to do it. If i ride it it doesn't do it the rest of the day, it only does it when i firs start it. Im wondering if maybe its do to moister? Thanx dude, that possibility never crossed my mind.

you ever blow your headgasket in the past? I had a similiar problem on my ol' chevy when i put a 406 in it. Had glasspacks on it and it took about a good 4 hours of runnin before i finally got it all burned out of em. Thats all most aftermarket fourwheelers are, just a glasspack of sorts

not a problem, when i first start mine when its wet out or a little chilly, it puffs a little condensation out the exhaust till the header warms up. hope thats your only problemm.

usually when you have smoke on start up it bad valve seals or since there new they arent sealing right and when you shut off the engin and it sit oil will seap through the seal surface and get in your cylinder and will burn when you start it up and itll go away after its gone its not that big of a deal but would be good to replace them or make sure there the right size

It hasn't happend in a while so im hoping it was just condinsation in the pipe. But if it was the valves it would happen all the time right?
