bike wont start
ok guys here we go. i just had my motor rebuilt and the bike ran fine before. i had a 13:1 when rebuilt but i took it out because i didnt want to run race gas. when my mechanic did everything he also said my timing chain was off and retimed it. he put it all back together and it ran. i got it back the next day rode it 100 down the road and it killed on me. i rode it back to my yard and it killed on me before i could kill it. when i was riding i tried to hit the gas but it would only go about 1/4 or 1/3 of full and would bog down. i changed my battery. changed my plug. cleaned the carb. and i have oil. another thing im confused on is what is the prime on the petcock for?

and also when i did start it back fired REALLY loud. it did that twice.

and i used copper plated head gaskets -_- when i put the stock piston and shims in (forgot to mention shims. and yes they are right size)

Check to see if you have spark. Sounds like the cdi. Is it an aftermarket cdi? Also, prime just let's fuel flow. When it's in the on position, fuel will only flow when it's running because of the vacuum operated petcock

maybe check valves and timing.
why was your timing chain off? do you have an auto tensioner - is it fully extended?

i checked...i have spark...i think its the stock cdi im not too sure...how can i tell?
do i need to run the bike on prime or on? what happens if i leave it on prime? yea i was thinking its the vavles. im not sure why the timing was off :/

did you try push starting?
Bike should run fine on ON if everything is working right. You could try running it on prime to see if it makes a difference. One of mine needs to be put on Prime every now and them for some reason.....guess maybe I need to clean the petcock or something. Are you sure your "mechanic" timed it right?

yea im pretty sure. he has worked on lots of bikes and he said he did one of these before but mostly drag raptors and drag yfz's. ill try push starting it. and another thing is that it KILLS my batteries when i put one on. i put my friends raptor battery and it killed it and its about 1 1/2 times the size of mine
and tihs sorry i didnt answer the question. no i dont have a tensioner. and i have no idea if it is fully extended i didnt do the work

Does it seem to make the starter turn slow. Like it's hard to turn over
