It's just a little washer. Go to a car parts store and find them.

No, just get a washer that fits. On my 500 quadracer, I use copper washers that I picked up at a car parts store.

I am not an expert................but my common sense tells me that a copper washer and a hardened washer are not the same. Copper is a much softer metal.............not saying you're wrong, just not buying it.

A washer is definitely NOT a washer! A little story:

An aircraft mishap I once investigated ended up being caused by someone installing zinc-coated washers on an exhaust duct rather than the required stainless washers. The result was that the washers melted, allowing the exhaust to rattle until it cracked and separated, hit the horizontal stab, and crashed the bird!

Of course, we're talking a different level of heat, but I'm not trying to save 8 bucks only to blow a head gasket or worse. Take your time and do it right.
