Default What's the most DURABLE MX tire?? I keep getting flats

I've been running Kenda klaws but have had 3 flats in last couple months. Is there a good 4 ply (maybe 6 ply) MX tire. 18" rear... 20" front...

Thanks

^ god no. Try razrs. btw plys really don't matter that much, it's now what you think it is... a 6 ply tire doesn't have 2 more "layers" than a 4 ply tire

Are you getting flats on an MX track or from riding somewhere else?

I got a flat today on the track, I got bumped a little on the holeshot but didn't think it was that big a deal.

My Holeshots have lasted 4 years of some pretty rocky riding....and they are the 4-ply.
I like them but probably don't do the kind of riding you are, ..plus, I guess I don't do a hell of alot of hard-pack riding either. Mosty sand but when we are out of the sand it's usually pretty knarley stuff.

Had holeshots for years, switched to RAZR 2's, they are way better.

RAZR2 is not a MX tire.

what pressures are you running? if you are running too low of a tire pressure the rim will be able to bite the sidewall and cause a leak.

i havent had any bad luck with holeshots or razrs, maybe a few flats i can recall in the last few years. anyone who has seen a race in new england knows the tracks are about as gnarly as you can get!

i think the itp quadcross' are a bit tougher than holeshots or razrs, but the cost is a bit more as well.

Holeshots suck balls...they wear out within like 1 hour. Klaws are probably one of the heavier mx tire. I've ran razr mx for the past like 4 years and have never got a flat.
