I know it says they're not but I bet they are very heavy.
The price appears to be right though........

I don't know, they look a little like Geckos
Everyone I have ever known that tried Geckos absolutely hated them. My two favorite sand tires depend on what you're doing. The ITP Sand Stars are great for general duning and side hilling. They are a little heavier than need be too, but I don't think they would be as heavy as those^^^ For drag racing and hill shooting, I love my 8 blade Scat Track Haulers. They are great, but they don't turn or slide worth a dang. I put which ever set on according to what I'm going to be doing. Here's what my friend Nick thought of his Geckos... Dune tire burnout in the trailer - YouTube Disclaimer: He's not wearing a helmet, but he's not riding either (not going anywhere) If anyone has an issue with this being posted, let me know and I will take it down.

Sorry to steal the topic or thread but what are the advantages of an 8in rim? Mine has em and after i need rear tires ASAP and hit up a few Motorsport stores here in miami no one had tires for me. Ended up going with cheap 22x11 chinese knobbby tires which actually turned out to be amazing in the mud lmao!

A friend had them, he said he liked them but prefered the Sandstars, they hoop up well but don't slide as good the Sandstars.

I was looking at a set of these! cant beat a pair with wheels for 128 bucks. I have to buy 3 sets before we head to the dunes. Heavy is one thing but, I think im going with cost effective right now. I picked up a set of sand sharks the other day without rims like new for $50

you can always sell them later.....
You can ride fine in the dunes without paddles..........if you really want to save money.

ya the price is def what caught my eye considering I have to buy 2 sets with rims. but while I'm in okc.I'm sure I can craigslist a set or 2. Another benefit of a 8" rim is its less likely to bend under load. so i take the angled blades are for general duning where as straight blades are for dragging and hillshooting?.

We were all running straight blades but when we got the new (used) 400 it came with a set of Sand Stars and for now I feel better with my son on those. I for one don't notice much of a difference but i'm really use to the Haulers now. We're going to Glamis in a few weeks and I'll try a couple runs across the face of a big hill or two with both quads and compare how the different tires feel.
