Default Tire size question...

'05 LTZ 400 with stock rims and tires. Looking to move to 6 ply, lot of rocks in riding area. On the rears can I go up to a 11 wide on the stock rim? Don't have the $ right now for a rim swap and most of the 6 ply I have looked at are 20x11xR9. What is the compromise for moving to the wider tire? In a similar manner is it ok to go up one size in width for the front? Thanks you.

No problems running an 11 inch on the rear.. I'm not sure about the fronts, but I think you would be alright going a bit wider if you feel it's needed....

I'm running 20x11-9's on my stock rear wheels. No problems.

As far as I know, fronts generally only come in 7" widths. Why would you want to widen the width of the from tires for anywho?

I have 22x11-9's on stock wheels. Not my choice, but previous owner put them on and I want to wear these out first. No problems.

You probably wouldn't even notice a 1 inch difference on the rear.
