can any one give info. input and law regulations?
possibly hook up for some riding

do u need flag poles i hope not
will my reg. work for cali

iv always wanted to run dunes so im kinda excited to go.
i hope i get the trip.

most of the dune riding areas require a flag, but not all and a lot are park and ride.....you will need to purchase a non resident permit which you can get from any cycle shop in california to be legal to ride...also make sure you have a spark arrestor on your Z.....

If you are working and living near NASSCO or the Navel Base, it is about 3 hr drive to Glamis dunes, traveling out interstate 8 east you will be in Ocotillo city riding area, and Plaster city riding area in about two hours, exiting off dunaway rd. at plaster city it is fifteen minute drive to Superstition mountain dune and hard pack area, exiting off hwy 8 at Forrester rd head north 45 min. and you are at Ocotillo wells off road park. So plenty of places and different terrains to ride. I personally enjoy Ocotillo wells area, Spize is the glamis guy. Some people prefer Gordons wells dune area along 8 almost to Yuma AZ. Some of the best desert riding in the country and thousands of acres are right here. Goolgle maps the area and you will see, season ends near memorial day when it gets to hot out here to ride. Let us know when you get here.

they are planing to send us out the first week in jan.
be working at point loma.glamis sounds great.that will be a weekend thing.
i hope to find a spot close by to go out after work.need a stress release.
i should find some cheap paddles,my excavators for mud drags wont be any good out there.

yeah Jag does live near san diego but Zuki nailed all the info...your going to love it riding out here....lot of great places in the area Zuki outlined...bring your camera..

No place close except up in pine valley and that is still 1 hr from town. Better to do a day run or over nighter to the desert.

Unfortunately no legal riding close by, but pine valley it's about 1 hour and plaster city about 1:20 away so not bad
I ride Baja alot but no from Tijuana its crazy on that side

theres trails around 905 FWY going to tecate is Thousand trails, Descanso, Potrero,but mostly Border Patrol Trails

f--k i got screwed on this trip.just found out yesterday.they picked their pets.
well there will be more in the future.i wanted my wife to see and fall in love with california so i can transfer out.thanks for the help and offer though, i really appreciate it.
THIS WILL HAPPEN THE NEXT TIME IM OUT THERE!!!!!
