W/ a carrier? Like I said, Im only interested in this because I want to be able to order a part I would need and get it overnight, not weeks down the road... The Banshee is the most user friendly bike for parts. Whether its aftermarket or stock parts your looking for. Also, in response to the chain tensioner concern, for $190 you can get a full round carrier setup instead of the pos two mount system they have from OEM... only thing with that is buying an aftermarket setup (carrier and axle) or stick with the stock carrier and buy a drag axle I got the rear case measurement the other day, 3 13/16" from seal to seal, Id imagine the Banshee swingers have at least 4" of space between the rails but from just pictures it looks close... So now its just waiting for my builder to get some specs on the banshee swingers. He has been swamped though since its the end of the season here If anybody knows anyone with a banshee or can get some measurements feel free, i dont know when my builder is getting the stocker in... all we need is the measurement from the inside of the rails on the swinger, and it has to clear 3 13/16" to work

have you thought of building your own swingarm? If you know how to weld And have atleast a chop saw, I can see it being the best of both worlds. You can get it cheaper, and machine front bushings to use the z's front swingarm bearings. For the rear there is a place online that sells banshee carriers, and the roundhouse for the swingarms but I cant think of the name. They were reall cheap, then just design your middle pieces and shock mounts, and you can have a nice cheap swingarm that fits the z400 front, and the banshee rear drive. You could offset the roundhouse for the right chain alignment.
just my .02
