I dont think there is a spec for that... You check it according to how many clicks are left on the cam chiain tensioner when it is all assembled.

If your in doubt, it seems like something you should do. If you have it taken apart, put a new one in and you will never worry again. I rebuilt my motor and could have easily put a new chain in, but at that time I was not part of this site. If I were to do it over again I would put a stronger aftermarket chain in. If there is a lot of miles on your chain, its worth replacing IMO.

i would check the tensioner but i have already ripped it all apart thinking it was valves makeing a ticking but the only thing i can think of is cam chain dont want to put it all back together to see how many clicks there is thats why i was hopeing someone had one out

if its already ripped apart then just spend the $60 and get a new cam chain in it
