We have a set of rules posted right at the top of this section.
They are as blatant as we can make them because we want them followed.
QOTM entries are for just that. No comments are to be given in that section for any reason even if its praise. We had a lot of trouble In the past and the rules are in place for a reason.

Basic Rules:
1. You are not to reply in the thread. You post your pictures, your mods and nothing more. If anyone does post a reply the message will be deleted and you person who posted will be warned to not do it again. If you do it again you will be banned for a minimum of a week.
2. ONLY Suzuki quads are eligible to be part of SuzukiCentral’s QOTM. Call it whatever you want, but that is the rules.
3. If you start another thread about QOTM in another section to talk about the applicants it will be removed and treated like a post in this section.
4. If you are found to be cheating in ANY WAY including multiple registrations, bribery, link redirection or any unethical type of behavior we will remove your quad from the running and there is a good chance your account will be suspended or even BANNED. We want this as fair as possible guys.

Good luck to all and start posting your machines….

If you have already been QOTM then No.
We have alot of members and we don't want people beng QOTM more then once. That decision as made after Popo steppd up and won it twice.

It doesn't matter, even if you buy a new bike and pimp that one out.

Its based on the user, not the quad.

Ok, I messaged Steve a little over a month ago and he said as long as there are drastic changes to your quad, you can run again. I was also planning on running this month. I won, but I tied with my quad and there are definitely drastic changes. Which is it?

And I agree with that rule, my bike is DECKED out, and would end up loosing the next QOTM to a guy that allready won it once...

I think its sad that we have such a large member base and such a small percent actually vote for QOTM.....hmmm kinda like in politics

I wish in the voting thread we had more pics or at least a mod list along with everything so that people didn't have to go between two threads that aren't usually 56k friendly. Cause it seems that sometimes its a popularity contest or they vote on what they see in a pic not what was done to the bike itself.

I tend to agree with the standing rule, but Steve has spoken.

I can only speak for myself, but I believe what I want to see in the QOTM section of the site are the "best of the best" built LTZs KFXs, and DVXs. It seems a shame that some of the most outrageous quads out there could be unwelcome in a forum designed to showcase them. These machines become the catalyst that makes me want to take it one step further. I'm sure I'm not alone in being inspired by seeing what others on this site have done.

The inherent flaw, in almost any kind of contest, is that all but one come away feeling slighted. I do wish the competition was a little more "friendly".

The flaw in the "based on the user not the quad" rule, is that I could easily enter my girlfriend's quad (previous QOTM) under my user name, or she could create another user name. For that matter, if I bought the quad that won last month I could "within the rules" enter it the next month, under my name, to have it win again. Why not then sell it to the next guy, and inform them that it's a sure thing to win next month? You see?

I'm glad to see that Steve has amended Z400 CENTRAL's policy.

BRING IT ON POPO!

If you value being QOTM enough to go to those lengths then I think you have larger issues then entering to win QOTM.

The rule was initially based so that the several thousand members of this site might actually have a chance at winning. Spome of the first QOTM had nothing more then stickers, nerfs and maybe some holeshots. Now there are machines that have more money into them then most new cars cost.

The rules were put there to try and keep things fair but if you guys feel they need to be changed then maybe they do.

Huh? That seems a little harsh. This is a quad site for Z400's. We value the opinions, ideas, and all the help we got from other members while building my quad. Just because someone wants to build a nice quad and run for QOTM doesn't mean they have issues, just inspiration. I think people should be awarded for their good work and hard work. I personally always vote for the quad that I think it the most unique. I like all the little extra stuff. It may have Elka's, etc, but I vote for the little extra things that maybe no one else thought of. So, if the members on this site want to vote for a stock Z, good for them. They are entitled to their opinion. Everyone has their preference. If what they do is vote for their friend, that's their preference too. I personally haven't voted for people I know well, just because I liked another quad more.
Why all the negativity?

I guess some people are mad that people can run twice. I can understand both sides of the argument...Take this month for instance. I have almost 3k in my motor and 4k in chassis work...and I KNOW for a fact I will get my butt handed to my for the second month in a row. But there is no reason to get heated over it.

The main things I wish changed in qotm was more people voting, maybe another pic or two on the thread with votes and a mod list to go along with it. That would give me a fighting shot against loli's blingtastic Z...(and thats no disrespect at all lolli, I was just like #$%@ me when I saw yours. I know whats going to win this month, and I tip my hat to you. I'll go for octobers

Jesse, I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the mod list or pics? You can put a mod list up, actually you did, lol.
BTW-you do have a very nice quad and I'm sure you will get votes for engine work. My Z engine is pretty much stock except for the exhaust and jet kit. You may get a lot of votes from the racers out there. You do have a great attitude though and I do see both sides of the story.

Lolli, my issue with the mod list is that I wish that list was there in the thread with the poll thread. I've found that most people don't check out both threads, or at least some don't....that way people only really have to check out one thread, and see the best pic and be like....OH thats what he did to it...
