Default new member here with some questions

Ever since I was a kid I always wanted a Suzuki LT250R QuadRacer. I just found an 87 that is all original, no aftermarket modifications for $1000, and it has a title. It does have a Uni filter, and the rear tires are worn.

Here are my plans:

1. FMF pipe and silencer
2. upgrade reed petals or valve assembly possibly install spacer
3. re-jet

Here is what I'd like to know:

1. Do the calipers have trouble being seperated to change the pads due to the bolts seizing up?
2. Can you get the FMF II silencer with spark arrestor
3. If I just put in Boyesen reed petals is it also worth it to put on a spacer, or should I just buy the V-Force reed valve assembly?
4. Any other quad shock swaps that will work to improve suspension?

Is there anything else you can recommend for me?

Really, 25 people have viewed this topic and there are no past or present LT250R owners that can give me some info?

Yup, there might be a few on here with an LT250r, but this site was originally an all Z400 site, so 90% of the regular visitors are z400 owners.

Thanks, I took a chance since there was a discussion dedicated to the LT250R specifically on this site.

i'd just go with the v force reeds, not sure about the shock swaps on the 87 I have a 86 and to my knowledge there's no shocks out there from other machines that will swap over clean, don't know about the silencer with a spark arrestor and i've never had any issues with my caliper's bolts seizing up on me.
