Default lt250r rear brake problems

A buddy of mine is having problems with his rear brakes. They just don't seem to want to bleed out. I'm not sure if the plunger is working or not. His bike has a 500 swingarm on it. We got to looking at my KFX 400 the other day and the rear brake setup looks very similar and I got to thinking, will any of the newer brake components work on his? Any other advice would be helpful as well.

From some pics I've seen, the entire swingarms look very similar. You can remove the rear caliper and master cylinder really easily, pull it off and see if the caliper will bolt up to his.

Also, I had a really hard time getting my front brakes to bleed by hand. Went to harbor freight and bought the $30 brake bleeder and I was done in 5 minutes...

What year is the lt250r ? I know that the 91-92 brakes are diffrent from the 85-90. TRMN8TR you must've saw pics of the 91-92 swingarm.
First thing I would you do is clean the lines out then put new fluid in and bleed them.

Well we call it Quagmire, because it's got a little of every year on it I think lol. Frame is an 86, motor is we think an 89 and not sure on the swingarm year.

If your frame is an 86, then your swinger is either the 85-86 (round style carrier) or 87-90 (box style)..... the 91-92 swinger will not bolt up to an 86 frame, but the 87-90 ones will.... now this is assuming the swinger is stock.....

Post up some pics of your motor and swinger....
