Default my ltr build

well i just got finished building up my ltr's motor and it should be a ripper.
here are some pictures and what i have done to it so far.

day after i brought her home, it just had a cherry bomb, rath Nerf's, blingstar bumper, pro-armour grab bar, and some metal melisha fat bars by pro taper.



first thing i did was get rid of the head light and put on a quad tech beak, k&n drop in filter with air box mod and a full dasa exhaust. i also bent the weak stock axle and put a g-force axle in its place



i rode it like that twice and it was time for more
so i tore it down and sent the head off to Williams performance ATV in Florida to get the head ported and polished, +1 exlydyne exhaust valves put in and a serdi valve job done.
i huge thanks to chris there at williams for doing a fantastic port job with awesome customer service and a 2 day turn around time

of coarse with a ported head i couldn't stop there, that stock piston was just there starring me in the face so i had to do something about it. so i pulled it out and got the cylinder re-honed and dropped in a JE 12.8 to 1 piston and rings. its a shame it has to get put in a place it will never be seen cause its so per-tty looking



so now that the piston is fresh with more compression and the head is flowing alot better, i needed so bump sticks to put in it. i decided to go with hot cams intake and exhaust cams to cut down on cost a bit over going with a more expensive web grind


so now the motor is all buttoned back up and i needed something other then a cherry bomb to supply fuel now, so i got a power commander PC5 and plugged that in with a close base map provided by Williams performance ATV for me.


and this is how my machine sits now just waiting to be rode tomorrow so i can break it in motoman style



i also have a dyno tune scheduled for this friday so i can get her running just perfect and be able to extract all the possible power from her, i will update you guys with the dyno numbers and print out when I'm done with it.

so what do you guys think?

there will be more to come in the form of suspension at a later date, im thinking of having GT thunder give them the works

Nice! I was working on mine today too It looks almost exactly like yours right now because I ripped off my graphics to get ready to put my new ones on.
I've had that same piston for sale on HQ for $50 and noones bought it

Def give us a ride report!
Oh and I broke mine in motoman too

! That was the fastest rebuild thread ever! Lol... Looks like you have a whole different animal on your hands now! Love the beak instead of the tacky light and that piston looks shiny Man you got everything done to her! not to ask a dumb question but what do the +1 ex valves do for it? More top end?

pulido, chris at williams said that the head on the ltr is where all the power is to be made and specifically on the exhaust side. the exhaust valves and exhaust ports are much to small and can breathe better now, i gave my constipated head a dose of exlax, lol

camaro, i know i seen your piston for sale but after getting new rings and wrist pin i figured i would just get a new one with all of it and call it good, sorry bud.
on the other hand i have an 08 stock exhaust cam for sale that sould give you a bump in power over your exhaust cam if your interested

got some more updates and mods.
first thing i did was ditch my crappy stock front tires and threw on some maxxis razr cross tires and man do they work good!
next thing i did was took the blob off the handle bars and replaced it with the yoshimura start button and choke block off nut, it really cleans the handle bars up nicely.
next i got tired of burning my pants on my new dasa head pipe so i picked up a heat shield from a Honda 450r and mounted that up so now my pants wont look like swiss cheese anymore.
and last but not least i finally decided to pull the trigger on doing a race cut on my front fenders, i really liked the Doug gust cut so went with that, and man am i glad i decided to do it because it looks sick now.





all i have left to do is get it dyno tuned, pick a good graphic kit and get my shocks redone by GT Thunder.

what do you all think?

well i finally decided on a graphics kit, well from the help of my 4 boys on deciding which one, but i went with the DFR stellar kit in black, what do you all think?



next will be to repaint the rims black, some suspension work and i still havent found the time to get it dyno tuned but will be sometime this summer
