The 400 ex boot will need to be cut a little. Do some searching on the site and you should find lots of info. There is one end that you want to cut rather then the other but I can't remember which one it was. It will help and you will want to re-jet.

this is the person you replied to a thread about a z400 filter and intake boot, what year 400ex? did you and will it fit without any modifications or will i have to cut some to keep it from kinking? and what companys make the clamp on style filters? i would think k&n or uni. did you notcie any diff?
