Clutch question

I have a 2005 KFX 400. I'm am putting in a new clutch. When I removed all the plates I seen there was a spacer between the first friction and the first steel. I did not have a spacer in the new kit and I looked in the owner's manual and it says nothing about a spacer or anything like it. Any ideas.

If you mean 92200C and 92200D in this microfiche, then yes. Re-use it, but it should be behind the entire stack, not between them. Make sure you soak the new plates in oil overnight before installing them.
