Possibly. Check the connectors on the CDI for being loose. Then disconnect them and look for burned or loose pins in the connectors themselves, obvious harness damage, loose grounds, etc. Also make sure the boot on your spark plug wire is all the way on and the plug is making good contact with the wire, maybe even trim a little off the end of the wire to get a fresh end on it in case itís corroded.
You can also check the resistance of the coil, both primary and secondary. Limits are in the manual and if itís very far out of spec, itís probably bad.
