After reading more on here about rejetting and how easy it sounds I want to give it a shot. My only concern is how difficult it is to do. I don't know much when it comes to tuning things up. What is the advantage to rejetting on a stock Z400?

Do some searching before making a half a dozen random posts. The top of both the performance parts and maintenance sections have lots of "stickied" topics that will really help you out.
Here are a couple on jetting.

Not much. I wouldn't bother unless it was running bad, or you do mods, like taking the air box lid off. Then you will have to.

Sorry about that just was getting confused on certain things I read so I was hoping someone would have a post I needed (like you provided) to tailor towards my situation. I really want to make sure the things I do to the quad are worth it not wasted time, you know?
