Anyone know of aftermarket 13 tooth sprockets to fit the LTZ400 or a sprocket from another bike and how to make it fit? Thanks

Its OK. I figured out how to fit a DRZ400 sprocket to it! Its easy and you don't need to purchase sprockets just to suit the LTZ400.

You can use a DRZ or RM sprocket, you just need to grind the thickness slightly and mount them with a C-clip instead of the stock sprocket retainer.

ACK!! Don't use a C-clip, use a 7/8" SNAP RING

You can't use a circlip. The groove on the shaft where the original lock washer sits is too small in dia so after you get the circlip over the shaft the circlip flops around. If you look in the end of the shaft there is a 8mm thread. A DRZ sprocket has a small boss on one side. Put this to the outside. A spacer washer goes on next and then a suzuki wave washer with the spline in the middle of it. Screw in the 8mm bolt with a washer to suit the bolt and your away. We put a 13 tooth on and its great for motocross.

My mistake. I said C-clip but i meant snap ring, that is the set-up I have been running for 3 months now without any problems.

Thats a circlip and you can't use one. They stretch out of shape when you put them over the shaft. See reason above

I put the snap ring into the groove of the shaft, it is under no stress nor deformed.

Internet sales are not all that they are cracked up to be... when you are in a bind and can't get scarce parts.

I just got a 13 and 41 from a local dealer who made some calls. You will find out how much power a local dealer can have if you can get hooked up with the right one and establish a good relationship with them.

This place is just a little shop that deals in Harleys and bad a$$ custom bikes.
