Is ther anybody else who rides in this range and has experimented with jetting? If so...what is your setup and how are you making out?

Our setup:
Uncorked Stock Silencer
Snorkle Off
Airbox Cover On
13 Tooth Front Sprocket

We have been considering wether to take the Airbox Cover off or not. Most of the trails we hit throw a lot of dust to the guy on the machine in back.

Any help or suggestions on what jets to get and experiment with would be GREATLY appreciated.

I would keep the airbox lid on, i would recomend a dial-a-jet kit. They make small jetting changes easy and atvsport said it added power and better throttle response.

Well...we just got back...it is about 95 degrees outside...it sputtered some on the top end. I weigh 245 and I dragged a 2001 Banshee and rode right next to him...he had the jump both times...but he didn't gain after that. He had Pro Circuit Pipes, jets, boost bottle, reeds and he was running holeshot tires . He weighs 145. I believe the next we drag...it would prpbably be on a harder surface and have different results. Anyways...I'm sure Al was proud of his Z...

We are putting the snorkle back on til we ger the jet kit. How much does the Dial-A-Jet kit? And what is the part number?

List of Stuff done
- cut out pea shooter on stock exhaust
- removed noise baffle from snorkle
- cut open top of air-box lid
- use speaker grill cloth as imitation "outwears"
- unifilter

Main Jet: 140
Needle: adjusted by using two No.4 washers to raise it.
This set up isn't trail proven, but riding around the neighborhood the spark plug reads alright
