I have the hotcam coming for $129 from a vendor. Today they told me they messed up their price and I'm getting a deal. Cool.

So, have others here just done the intake cam and not the exhaust?
How does it feel, tons of power?

I hear you might not want to do the exhaust since it takes out the starting decompressor thing.

I was thinking the same thing. I already orderd the DRZ base gasket, and wanna do the intake cam only until I'm ready for some real motor work. Let us know how it goes!

The drz base gasket is not as thick as the Lt, it raises the compression to around 12:1.[/b]
do you have to run race gas? or wat octane?

It should run fine on 93, it will help if you add the cam because the cam will lower the actual compression. Before you ask how: The new cam has a higher duration meaning it will keep the valves open longer causing valve overlap (when intake and exhaust valves are both open). If the piston is coming up and the valves are open then no compression is building.
