What has everyone done as far as aftermarket pipe,silencer,airfilter, and jetting with leaving the airbox lid on? Alot of the dyno's and numbers are w/o the lid. I run in mud and water a good portion of the time, so I want my lid.
Get a 145 main jet (if you're at the same altitude as detroit).
-Cut out the pea shooter in your spark arrestor
-Cut out the tube on the wall behind the spark arrestor using a 1 3/8" hole saw
-Remove the noise baffle from the end of the snorkel
-Unifilter
Total, it'll be about $40
There probably won't be a great advantage to spending $200 on an aftermarket pipe if you're not going to chop the air-box. The snorkel is a pretty big restriction.
